Electronics Sessions

A hands-on STEM course designed to spark young minds through discovery, design, and creativity.
Sessions are being delivered by William Dimech who is an experienced lecturer in engineering related subjects.
Built for Curious Young Minds
Electronics for Kids is part of a purposely built middle school STEM curriculum, created by an experienced engineer to introduce children to the exciting world of electronics through fun, guided activities.
This engaging course helps children build their own Do-It-Yourself (DIY) electronics projects while learning foundational electronics concepts — all in a safe, interactive, and age-appropriate environment.
Learning Outcomes
Over the course of 30 hours, learners will:
Understand core electronics concepts such as voltage, current, resistance, and Ohm’s Law
Learn how to build and understand basic circuits
Explore actuators (DC motors, servo motors) and sensors through interactive kits
Practice visual programming and circuit design using PictoBlox
Apply their knowledge in a hands-on final project solving a real-world challenge
Additionally, students will naturally develop critical 21st-century skills such as:
Problem-solving and debugging
Teamwork and collaboration
DIY making and hands-on confidence
Creative thinking
Course Overview
Basics of Electronics
Understand how electricity flows and how circuits function using LEDs and real-world examples.
Introduction to Actuators
Get hands-on with motors to explore how machines move and respond to inputs.
Introduction to Sensors
